This is what is called a tandem ad though separated the two work together so interacting with the MPU caused the athlete profile in that particular moment to change and show a quick bio of them in the skyscrapper format on the right.

There is a video playing in the MPU (standard ad size for the industry 300x250px..) If you roll over it it will send a command to the sky scraper ad format and that will change. This kind of linkup has spawned a great many creative type ads where characters crawl from one ad block into another or something spills into the other. Its a great technique to get a brand interaction going.
